When I was a young girl my parents would take my siblings and me to an ice cream parlor every Sunday after church during the summer. We’d have lunch first and then we’d all pile into the van and make the 2-mile trek to dessert heaven. Without fail, I’d always order a root beer float. I loved the vanilla ice cream swirled with root beer pop topped with whipped cream and a cherry. Those were the days! I’d always eat the cherry first before my little sister would ask me if she could have it. LOL
Another dessert that I am quite keen on is pie, especially creampies. My grandmas are the best. She would make a fantastic banana cream pie. Yum! My mom told me to ask grandma if she could make root beer float pie.
Guess what? She did make it and it was heavenly! It tasted just like the flavors of my childhood and I couldn’t have been happier. You guys and gals are really going to enjoy this easy-to-make dessert. Yum!
