Simply Pumpkin Bars – No Bells Or Whistles Here, Folks

I do declare that my favorite season is fall. I love everything about it from the bon fires to wearing hoodies and going for crisp walks around the neighborhood. I especially love fall cooking and treats. Pumpkin treats, to be exact. From lattes to pies, pumpkin is the real deal and I’m totally in love with that yummy orange vegetable. yes, pumpkin is a veggie. I know, I was shocked when I found out, too.
The recipe on the next page was found over on Facebook. My sister and her clan of baking geniuses totally made my day when they debuted this wonderful pumpkin bar recipe complete with instructions on how to make cream cheese icing. You aren’t going to want to miss out on this!

I have tried using applesauce and omitting the oil in other recipes and I gotta say that the cake comes out moister than a rainy day in April. Totally worth it!

1 2/3 cups Domino granulated sugar
1 cup Wesson vegetable oil (can substitute 1/2 cup applesauce for 1/2 cup oil)
