I am a huge fan of sweet potato casserole, especially during the holidays. However, I think I can truly swap out the sweet potatoes for squash this year. This Southern squash casserole is unbelievably delicious! It is smooth, creamy, and super sweet with its lovely crumb topping. Whenever I eat this stuff I feel like it’s Thanksgiving all over again. Seriously, I can eat this creamy squash casserole right smack dab in the middle of summer. It’s THAT good!
And you want to know something else? Southern squash casserole is seriously easy to make. It only requires a few ingredients and some basic steps. Before you know it, you’ll have a little piece of Dixie on your plate! Yum!
My husband and kids go gaga over this casserole. And get this? I don’t think my little ones even know what it is or else they wouldn’t be eating it. I told them that it’s like pumpkin pie haha! It’s always awesome to see your kids eating healthy food.
