There are many things that I love in life and eating apple pie is one of them. I’ve had this yummy dessert many ways in my life. I think my grandma’s way was the silliest haha! She and my grandpa would place applesauce on toast and call it apple pie. I used to think this was so funny when I was a little girl. Grandma always made me some when I would spend the night as a before bed snack. So much fun!
My grandmother would also make a killer “normal” apple pie that she learned about from an Amish friend of hers. The two ladies would swap recipes quite regularly. Aren’t friendships wonderful?
You guys, this pie is seriously simple to make and it tastes amazing! I love loading it up with vanilla ice cream. my husband likes his with whipped topping but that just doesn’t cut it for me.
