This Dessert Is So Yummy, You’ll Want To Eat It For Dinner
It seems like it was just yesterday when I was watching my grandma in her kitchen. She was always singing one of her songs – in fact, she would turn all of her sentences into melodies. It’s one of the things I miss the most about her, and another one is her famous apple crisp! Somehow her original recipe went missing and my mother and I have spent hours trying to make apple crisp just like hers.
I had almost given up hope on finding an apple crisp just like grandma’s, until my friend served me this one when she invited me for a cup of coffee. It tasted exactly like grandma’s, and of course I begged her for the recipe!
When this was baking in the oven, I could almost hear grandma singing her sentences again! There was something so familiar about the aromas lingering in the kitchen. I couldn’t wait to dig in and find out if the flavor was just as authentic.
And when I finally got my first spoonful of this, I immediately called my mother and told her I had found it! This is as close as it gets to my grandmother’s recipe and I am so happy I came across this.
How do you like to serve apple crisp? I always like to add a scoop of vanilla ice cream, but my sister’s favorite is to eat it as it is – steaming hot, straight from the oven!
