Chicken Meatballs With Tomato Sauce

This was really good! The sauce was very light and enjoyable. I used the ground chicken in the meatballs and they were fantastic! I did bake them on 350 for about 20 minutes, per the suggestion of another reviewer.

I prefer this to brown them in a skillet because it’s easier. =) The chicken made such nice meatballs. They were very filling and much better than beef meatballs! The only change I have made (after making this several times, it’s such a hit!) was adding sauteed onion, green pepper, and garlic, and putting more seasoning in the sauce. A+!

Nothing says comfort food quite like a homemade meatball. The tender juicy meat that’s been seasoned with all kinds of savory spices and slowly cooked to deliciousness is pretty much irresistible.

A meatball makes for a great meal at any time, and if you’re into meal prep, a double batch of meatballs can be frozen and stored away to be served at a later date. A moist and savory meatball goes well with just about any sauce, from teriyaki to tomato, cheesy or spicy. We love a protein that is this versatile!

Absolutely fantastic! I am no a cook nor into cooking – just want to make healthy meals my family will eat. I only made the meatballs and used ground turkey rather than chicken simply because that’s what I had on hand. I also used Extra Virgin Olive Oil rather than cooking spray in the skillet, works just as well. It was so very easy. I will use this recipe from now on!

We’re always on the hunt for weeknight dinners that are simple and delicious, and this meatball recipe really fits the bill. Ground chicken, onions, some seasoning and a couple of cans of chunky tomato sauce and we’re eating something amazing that’s little on effort and long on goodness.

Meatballs are always a crowd pleaser in our house, but when we’re trying to lighten things up a bit, we turn our attention away from ground beef and the perfect substitute is poultry. Chicken meatballs covered in a tasty tomato sauce are just what we’re looking for. They can be served on their own or over noodles, and, in the spirit of keeping things on the lighter side, we’ve even served these up with a great carb-free alternative: zucchini noodles.
