I did not grow up in a house where things were made from scratch. We had a very busy life and while we always had nice warm meals they were what Sandra Dee would call Semi-Homemade.  The food was always delicious, aside from the fish stick fiasco but that’s another story for another time.

I admit, I usually purchase a jar of pasta sauce whenever I am making something that calls for pasta sauce. And usually, I try and doctor it up to hide the taste that’s always lingering in a preservative packed jar. I can’t quite explain that flavor, but somehow everyone can always identify when it’s store bought.

Then I came across this recipe and I was blown away by how easy pasta sauce can be to make from scratch! After making this sauce, you seriously will never want to buy sauce in a jar again. Half the time is spent trying to hide that fact anyways. Instead, redirect your efforts from the very beginning and be delighted with your finished product.
