Butter Pecan Cake Brownies

These are easy and delicious. I have had this recipe for years and not made them very often, but someone brought them to my Mom’s on Christmas Eve and everyone went nuts over them. My husband and mother-in-law asked me to get the recipe, I told them I had it already and they wanted to know why I had not made them any before! So, now I am in trouble (lol) and I have to make them!


Very good and very rich. I took this to a party today and had several requests for the recipe. I did grease my pan and used my hand mixer on low for topping mixture. It took an extra 15 minutes in the oven and still was a bit undone in the middle but had to leave for party. I figured it would keep cooking after removal and harden more when cooling. Next time I might bake mine at 325 degrees.

Yummy–this is good stuff!! I love recipes that start with cake mixes and this one was so delicious!! I only put pecans on half the pan just to see which way I liked it better, but both were equally good. Loved the butter pecan flavor and gooey cream cheese topping–just goes together so perfectly!!
