Profiterole Cake

Today I present to you the recipe of the Profiteroles Cake or Profitterol Cake (as they say …), a very special, delicious and delightful puff cake. A perfect, spectacular and simple to make birthday cake, to leave everyone speechless!

The profiteroles cake is my hubby Manuel’s birthday cake and, although I spoil it every day, I wanted to amaze him with special effects by creating a chocolate birthday cake he couldn’t forget! He loves chocolate cakes (like Sacher Cake or Black Forest Cake) and even Profiteroles. So I wanted to combine the two by creating a truly amazing cake.

Don’t let the sight fool you. This birthday cake is really easy to prepare (despite everything I write)! Cocoa cake base with cream filling and a mountain of profiteroles, with chocolate icing and related cream decoration.

Even if it doesn’t look like it, the cake is rather light and delicate and the fondant icing mythical the sweet of the cream, creating a truly incredible set of flavors!
