This American Goulash Recipe Is BETTER Than Your Mom’s

I had an extremely busy weekend coming up.

We had family flying and driving in from all over the country. My little sister was finally getting married! We have one of the biggest houses, so of course we offered to take in as many people as we could. We were going to be on the run most of the time though. Bachelor and bachelorette parties, rehearsals, dinners, and then the big day. In between all of that, we were going to have to eat something. I knew I wasn’t going to have time to cook, so I figured the crock pot was going to be the way to go.

I remembered my mom’s goulash in the crock pot and it was always so tasty and there was so much of it. It was a lot like this recipe from Facebook. Thursday was the night that everyone was going to be arriving, so that morning I got started on this.

It went together nice and quick and cooked up beautifully. Of course, when everyone got to my house, they were starving. They suggested ordering a pizza until they saw this pot of deliciousness cooking in the kitchen.

It fed the whole crew and everyone really liked it…even the kids!

I made a double batch of this so there were even some leftovers to put in the fridge that night. The following day, they didn’t stick around too long though. I think one of my cousins even had some for breakfast! He wanted to make sure he didn’t miss out on a second serving I guess. My sister’s wedding turned out beautifully, and all of our guests stayed comfortably. Soon after the house cleared out, I made this again for just my family and it was just as tasty the second time. This is going to be a recipe that I hold onto for many years to come!

When you have a crowd to feed, this is definitely the way to go!
