5-Take care of your KitchenAid the way it takes care of you.
I adore my KitchenAid mixer, and with all of the new recipes we keep discovering, I’ve been using it a lot lately. You too? Then make sure you’re paying as much attention to it as you are any other dish, especially its crevices. Use a toothpick or skewer to clean out the cracks, including the knob where attachments latch. Follow up by wiping with a damp cloth.
6-Bring a bathroom tip into the kitchen.
Discolored and dirty grout doesn’t just happen in the shower. Backsplashes have troubles, too, as any home cook knows. We’ve been using a 2-ingredient DIY solution for a while, but there’s an even gentler solution: vinegar and baking soda. Make a paste of baking soda and water, apply it the grout, and let it sit. Spray with vinegar, watch the fizz, then scrub it clean with a toothbrush.
7-Clean the air with a SCENT-sational solution.
Sometimes, no matter how clean our kitchens are, they just don’t smell clean. That’s when we turn to our old friend vinegar. Simmering some on the stove helps to clear the air and return it to a more neutral smell.
