To say this was taken poorly is an extreme understatement.
“I don’t care what this says, if my son or daughter forgot something because they simply forgot, I’m going to bring it to them. Nobody is going to keep me from seeing my child,” said Andrew Muller.
Others brought up a good point: are they supposed to make their own lunch at school? Doesn’t calling for help classify as “problem-solving?”
While many parents found the sign excessive, others agreed with the school.
“I totally agree with this! They are in high school, so they have to be responsible of themselves and find the way to solve there [sic] problems because we as parents are not going to be with them all the time, and the best thing that we can teach them is to be self-reliance [sic],” said Nayeli Cortes.
“Keep it up people because that is why people have 35 year olds living with them,” said Rock Aucoin.
Who do you think is in the wrong here? The school for posting the sign, or the parents for being upset about it?
